Curious observation
I have an 03, A4, coupe. A few weeks ago I installed a set of 3:42's and had the trans shift times and shift points changed. The other day when checking the clearance between the bottom of the gas pedal and the floor board 
, I noticed as the RPM's got close to redline the "SHIFT" light came on. 
I thought that light was only for the M6. Why would it come on? FYI, I did not hit red line.

I have an 04 A4 and the shift light in the hud comes on under heavy acceleration right before it shifts. When at the track and shifting manually the shift light comes on right before redline, allways has

I guess that means my trans tuner (Scoundrl) got it dialed in right. During heavy acceleration, when the light does come on, it never hits the rev limiter.
