Default LT headers and S/C

Do you have to install headers for a supercharger to work or do the headers only add HP over the s/c?
Want a S/C but not necessarily the headers if I dont' need them.

You don't technically need them but trust me when I say you'd want them. Your gonna want to get the entire car flowing... from the intake through the engine out the exhaust. If your making a lot of power at the engine and the exhaust can't rid it... Much less power.

I gained about 35 rwhp and torque when i put headers on the 98 coupe that i had. The car had plenty of power without the headers but they definatly helped. I had an A&A kit.

I would like to get 410 -450 at the Rear. I've got cat back now and am looking into a S/C but didn't want to get rid of the cat back if I didn't have to to make the S/C work.

Most header manufacturers offer complete exhaust systems with high flow cats. I'm running an A&A vortech through factory exhaust(with a corsa pace car cat back) on my 99. I plan on doing a lot more to the car, but it's real fun to drive right now!

You Dont have to get rid of your Catback When u go sc,But the Freeflowing Exhaust that the headers produce will Compliment the sc.anything that is less restrictive will compliment the motor to breathe better,No u dont have to have a Freeflowing Exhaust,U can put a Sc on A Bone stock Motor ,stockmanifolds,But with the LNghdrs u will make more rwhp & Tq
