Removing AIR

What is involved in removing the AIR system on a 2001 vert? I have LG street headers and am planning heads & cam over the winter, and thought I would get rid of the AIR system at the same time.

Buy some block plates for the headers through pace and remove all the hoses and pump. The pump under the bumper is a little bit of a bitch but not to bad.

I can make the caps. Under the bumper? Its not driven off of the engine?

Its under the drivers side acces panel to the DRL's. If you pull that panel, you can see it plain as day

No AIR... Kooks race headers w/o any provisions for the AIR.

No one mentioned the DIC codes you have to tune out... Not sure which ones, but any tuner would know or if you have the software I'm sure it would be easy to tell...

Pretty simple if you're doing it with a heads/cam swap.

You'll need a tune anyways, so your tuner can easily take care of the code issue.

Pulling the tubes is easy except for a bolt on the back of the driver's side head. I hope you have small hands, it is a PITA! The bolt does not have to be completely removed, just loosened.
