Finally decided to "break the seal" on the motor and go with a cam swap...
I have the cam, underdrive pulley/belts and know I need springs, retainers, pushrods, and high volume oil pump. Anything missing? Any additional parts that should go in at the same time to reduce labor costs? Cam is a mild one (less than .600 lift).
New beefier timing chain set for sure. New or ported heads are nice if the budget allows, headers, intake, and throttle body also. These will help that new cam breathe and you will get the most performance out of it.

Any recommendations on the chain? Something from Comp or one of the LS2 OEM chains?

I've got an LS2 chain on mine and just by looking at it you can tell its stronger, I know other companies sell whole sets sprockets and all. JWIS is what I can think of off the top of my head, do a search on timing chains you will find alot of information.
