Interesting thoughts about future LS-x engines
First, I'll reiterate the original poster's disclaimer: this is info from a source outside GM, so take it for what it's worth. I thought it was interesting that it implies (at least to me), that the future LS-x engines will all be supercharged.

My question is "Is this how GM is going to recover the lost fuel economy from running E85?" Ignore the hp and torque figures. Ethanol has a natural octane rating of 107 (IIRC), but a lower btu density. E85 is stated as having an octane rating of 104, so you should be able to design a boosted engine that can recover the CAFE numbers that a NA loses when running ethanol-blended fuels.
Thoughts?
