Direct from Dewitts. Also got my new waterpump and coolant tank from Gene Culley last week.
At 125k, its time for some new cooling.
Any users and how are they holding up?
,I would like to see a pic of the old one & The New one side by side ,Did U opt for the Eoc or no ? ?, ,I think Both the Ron Davis & The Dewitts are Both nice Systems I wonder Who Makes the better radiator ,I will Be Buying one soon as well .I went to RonDavis Site ,His Prices are not included ,Looks like the eoc & Toc will Raise the Price of Both

Hey Mark..don't forget what I told ya about trimming that shroud a bit more on the driver side....its a PITA but you will probably have to cut and test fit and trim up a bit. Mine dropped my temps about 20 degrees...
Easy install, great performer. I actually took mine to the speed shop and found some trans cooler to AN fittings so I would have them when I am ready for an external trans cooler (when I get a free few hours to install!!!).
I actually polished mine on a wheel (side tanks) but you can't see it under the shroud. My fans dropped right in without trimming (04) but I did as directed. Overheating seems to be a myth with these things installed. Seriously, they are like three times the thickness of the stock ones. GM should be embarrased for using the one they install. Maybe "performance cooling package" should have been a factory option...?
Way to go. You'll have it popped in within a few hours.
We have a pdf download from an article called "Twice as Ice". It shows the differences, install tips, and details on the shroud trimming. A lot of guys just skip the shroud trimming because it's still fits without doing it. I'm just **** and wanted everything just right.

Here you go, I went with the EOC but still have not hooked it up and its been a year, as my oil temps don't worry me yet. I should have gotten one without I guess.
In the "twice as ice" article, They said the high temp of th C5 was partially related to emissions. How is this? Also if this is the case then why doesn't an aftermarket cooling setup affect emissions?
In the area where the 'fan' shroud may have to be trimmed? Is this the main shroud part, and not the shroud cover? Like the pretty one in this pic...
I'm not sure if you wanted to show off that cover or clarify the trimming but the cover does NOT get touched. If you open the link above, you will see exactly what is trimmed and why.

The lower temp you run your motor at the more unburned fuel there will be, that is the impact on emissions. Using a Dewitts will not in itself cause emissions issues, the thermostat and the fan settings will effect the normal operating temp more than the radiator. Think of it this way, a Dewitts radiator will provide a LOT of cooling capacity, but the thermostat regulates how much of the capacity you will use at any moment. When you are say racing, the thermostat will use alot of the radiator's capacity, but around town it uses less. That is, you can set up the thermostat and fans to make the Vette run at a temp near the normal operating temps so that emissions will be OK.
I just went through this, I failed the Denver emissions because of unburned fuel on the sniffer test. I put the stock thermostat back in and raised the fans to the normal on/off settings and the unburned fuel measurements dropped by more than half and I passed. And at the road race track this past weekend the temps never went high enough to activate the fans
