Previously, if you didn't let it idle for a minute, then drove for a minute, shut it off then started it again, it would not idle. I now jsut let it idle for a while first and it drove fine until this last weekend. In a period of 3 trips, it died 4 times! This time, it happened only when I drove it for a while first, then shut it off and started it up again 10 minutes later or so (left it there for an hour one time) - after I re-cranked it, it would drive fine. Any ideas what could be going on???
DO you have stock air intake or aftermarket? My car did the same thing & I found that the intake was loose at the TB allowing air to seep in. The car would run ok but not idle. Just a thought....
Start by pulling the codes. You'll probably find out from them what is going on. Sounds like the fuel mixture isn't being computed properly so will sit here and wonder about you O2 sensors, PCV Valve connector to intake that can develop holes in it, grounds(especially on the right rear head) and lastly, the battery connections itself.
the only codes it throws is the p0757 (2-3 shift soloinoid) on occassion, as well as the service abs/traction control. Could htose have anything to do with it?
Is there anything else that happens at the same time??? Lights flickering, Cluster going nuts or other things that stopped working? It sounds like you are sitting there and the engine just shuts itself off. Security light coming on? Shorting wires to that solenoid might cause who knows what all...
