C5 Steering Wheel Replacement HELP
I have a MOMO wheel I would like to install in my '02 Z06 for non-highway use. I am looking for some help in fooling the computer into thinking the airbag is still connected. Service Manager at local ford dealership says ford has an "airbag simulator" to do the trick, but the GM folks tell me they don't have anything like it. I know that it can be done because the video that came with the car shows Vettes at Mid-Ohio raceway with non-factory/non-airbag steering wheels installed. Perhaps it is a simple resistor fix like the CAGS fix. Can anyone point me in the right direction??? :hat

If you don't have the bag, it's best to NOT leave the SDM (airbag brain) connected. The box is a one-shot deal...
If you got into a scrape large enough to pop the bag, and the box was still thought it was there, it would just be one more
item you would have to replace. I removed the box along with both bags.
