Default CD Changer on the fritz.

CD changer was giving me fits. Worked sometimes and other times it wouldn't. Today it decided to keep a full magazine of CD's. I pulled the unit out of the car and could hear loose parts rattling around inside. I took the cover off and recovered $1.23 in change along with a couple of loose changer parts from inside.

Can anyone recommend a good service shop? I'm in the St. Louis area, but can ship it elsewehere if I need to.

Thanks in advance, $troker

I doubt you can get it fixed for $1.23.

When my changer wouldn't work we looked inside and found all kinds of stuff, too... coins included. After it was removed and blown out real good with compressed air it has worked fine ever since. You might want to try that if you haven't done so already.

The best place on earth is Dr. Don's in Huntsville, Texas. He does a complete refurbish with a guarantee for $130. Did mine years ago and still works great! Here's the link:
