Default Rear Differential Left Side Leaking....AGAIN!!!!

Unbelievably I have started noticing a few drops of gear oil under my car again. Found it dripping off bottom of left side plate.

I have had the seal redone 3 times I think. And just a couple of months ago I had it done only to have it leak again a week later....so they replaced the whole plate.

Now its leaking again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What should I do. Is it time for them to give me a whole new differential, an extended warrantee,.....a whole new car

Any advise ???????????

Common problem, but there may be another issue cauesing the seals to fail...to much play in the output shaft bearings? Does the rear whine at all?

I don't hear any.

This is a Z06 rear end.

I think they did something to a shaft also.....I really can't remember its been in so many times for rear end issues. I will get a copy of the service records for this problem.

if its coming from the shaft seal, the shaft must be nicked.
it could be the cover seal
make sure they put gasket maker(anerobic) sealer with the seal on the cover(big round rubber seal)

also make sure its not from the vent, which is on the left side on top

if you run the car real hard, leave the fluid level 1/4" low to keep fluid from spewing out of vent

Seems to drip when its run long (1 hour) not hard for short time.

This is what it would do before as well.....
