I was leaving for the track on friday, i pulled out of my driveway and the rpms were jumping up and down. I poped the hood, the and were the maf sensor meets the air bridge was disconnected. Not a big deal reconnected and i was on my way. Now driving down the turnpike for about 40 min in heavy traffic as soon as i went over 2000 rpms i would feel nothing just air sucking. I pulled over as soon as i could, which was about a mile or two. Got out poped the hood same thing happend. However this time i went to start the car and all i would get was a spit and fart then stall over and over again....had to get towed off the turnpike to my house. Now i try and sometimes it wont even start. Could the computer have learned a differnt reading from that mile or two with out the maf? What should i do?
I think I would disconnect the battery for about 30 minutes, then reconnect and see if it starts. Solve the issue of the air-bridge though. Check for codes.
Actually, you should be able to disconnect the MAF while the engine is running and the engine will continue to run, it will sputter for a second but will continue to run fairly smooth. I'd like to know why your airbridge keeps popping off?

With a stock cam you should run a little rough, but still run with out the MAF. Besides the air bridge, I would start with the simple things like: Check the wiring to the MAF and Intake Air Temp sensor (on the air bridge), check for codes and check the battery.
If you have codes, search here for each code. You most likely will find info on it. If you don't or don't see how it applies to you, post up the codes and whats going on.
