There is a sticky on repairing your HVAC lighting. It seems it isn't the bulbs that go bad, it's the solder.

Its not an LED. It is normal small light bulb. However, you can buy them from GM. You have two choices, you can either replace the whole head unit or you can replace the lamps. To replace the lamps, you need some experience with a soldering iron or a friend that does. Lamps themselves, some people have found a source at RadioShack but at the time I went there, I didn't find what I was looking for. What's needed is a 70ma @ 12V lamp for the proper brightness. The lamps that I used comes with leads on it and a plastic wrap that both need to be removed, but they worked out nicely. http://www.partsexpress.com/pe/pshow...TOKEN=71347921
I will suggest that if one has let go, that you replace all of them. Also, plan on the ones in the radio going out shortly too.
