This just happened to my '99 last week. I had just been working on splice pact 100 on top of the right forward frame rail earlier in the morning too. When I went to exit the freeway here at work, it just quit on me. While still rolling, clutch in of course, I tried to restart, but the starter wouldn't do anything. When I got it stopped on the ramp, it still refused to start until I turned off the key, back on again, and then it fired right up. On the way into work, I was stuck in a major traffic nightmare due to a 5-car pileup. I'm thinking two possibilities in my case, I may have lost the idle speed memory due to creeping along for 45 minutes to go a whole 2 miles or so or the splice pack. The following morning, the splice pack was removed and the ground wires within were soldered and connected to terminal lugs to a formal ground. The engine dying on me was the first time and so far, hasn't happened again.

Sounds like like "in-gear" throttle follower needs to be adjusted-Table B4317 (EFILIVE) start by taking out 10% at a time until it goes away-Can be a result of your mods--
