Default Leak from somewhere..

I noticed what appears to be an oil leak (may be trans fluid) from the back of my motor. I had a recent oil change and it looks like they overfilled it a bit. I also changed my radiator to a DeWitts the next day, but I don't see any leaks from there. But the leak is definitely in the back of the motor and I am seeing a lot of fluid on the exhaust.

I have never checked the level of fluid in my trans. The fluid is definitely a brown color.

Any suggestions on where to start?

I have a 98 C5, with an A4 automatic trans. I run Amsoil in my engine with 165k miles. It may just be a head gasket, but it appears to be on both sides of the FRCs.

Thanks.

You can pretty well rule out it being trans fluid. The transmission is in the rear of the car, just ahead of the differential. Sounds like it's engine oil.

Might want to take a look at the oil press sensor behind the intake. These are known to leak and could be the cause of your problem.

Since the tranmisson is in the rear of the car, I think it safe to say the fluid in question is not transmission fluid. Sounds like you should take your car to a shop you can trust.

I just finished replacing the oil pressure sensor because of oil leak that came down on the back of the engine by driver’s side. Found that the sensor had fail and oil was coming out the top of the sensor. Leak has stop since then.
