I appreciate the help on this, and maybe i should explain more what happened. I removed my bose radio and dash to install a new pioneer avic-z2. I had everything apart in the garage for about a month. When I put everything back together, finally, I immediately got the Service Active Handling message. I have cleared a bunch of codes, but the SAH message is always there as soon as I turn the key to the on position. I read some help about grounds, and I'm going to try to check some of those today. Some of the other recommendations seem to be a little more advanced than my limited capabilities. If anyone has an idea, I'm all ears.

If you turned the wheel while the battery was disconnected it is probably just the yaw sensor re-setting to an off-center position. Just re-set the codes (sometimes you have to do it twice) and it should go away. You can do it through the DIC. There is a procedure to pull the codes up and then reset them. If you are not aware...re-post and I'll write it up.

That is a yaw rate sensor malfunction. Did you try to reset it twice? I had to reset it, start the car, drive it a little, then reset it again. If that doesn't do the trick, you might have to replace it.

My guess is that it will probably reset ok.....but you never know!

Interesting that this occurred right after you worked on the car. The yaw rate sensor is located in the center dash under the HVAC controller. You may have moved it or pinched the wires going to it when putting in the new radio. Here is a picture of where it is located.
