The other day I noticed my car was making a small 'clunk' or 'pop' noise when the wheel was turned a certain amount. If I held the wheel in that posistion, the noise would repeat but if I mearly passed that point making a sharper turn, it would only happen once. I can also feel this though the pedals somewhat.


What do you think? Wheel bearing? CV joint? Steering rack?


Ive never really had to deal with this symptom before except when the cv boot took a crap on my sisters old 626

I had a similar problem with my 98 shortly after I had a wheel alignment. It ended up being the lower bolts on the front a-arms were not tightened correctly during the alignment. Those bolts have the alignment cams on them.

 

I dont think ive had to mess with those, but ill make sure to take a look at them this weekend
