If I turn the key in the driver's door towards the front one time, it will unlock the driver's door. Twice will unlock the passenger's door, and thrice will pop the hatch, ('04 coupe.)
Question. If I turn the key in the driver's door to the rear, shouldn't the passenger door LOCK (in addition to the driver's door?)
Mine does not, and I find it odd you can unlock a passenger door with the key, but not lock it. Of course, one could always use the key fob or interior lock button. However, you cannot predict how a service guy's going to lock up your car outside for the evening.

Nope - I can't lock the passenger side with my key either.

The funny thing is, I called the GM 800 number and they connected me to a local Chevy dealer who said it should lock.
So off to the dealer I bought the car from to fix it, and they said, "We think it's supposed to work that way. We tried it on another Vette and it didn't lock the door either."
