I'm replacing my injectors on my 2000 corvette with new stock Bosch after-market injectors 26#. I have two that did not fair well from the analysis the dealership did and the others were not far behind. So much for thinking that injectors were good for the life of the car. I got them from Five O and they have a 3 year unlimited millage warranty. Has anyone heard anything bad about Bosch's performance characteristics? I'm going to attempt the install myself, any suggestions or warnings I should look out for before I get started? My son said it is very easy to do but he is in Florida and I'm in Ohio. Is it easier to remove all the injectors at the same time and then turn the fuel rail upside down and put all the new ones in at once or just change them one at a time like you would plugs? I would apprieciate any information you can give especially if you have experience in changing these yourself.
I just did mine a few months ago. Piece of cake. I've been looking for the instructions. They may be on my other computer, so I will have to get them later.
I send old injectors to this guy www.cruzinperformance.com , he does a flow test before, cleans them, put's in new screens and flow tests them (posting the before and after on his website), all 8 for less than the price of 1 new injector.
Man that was awesome. Never expected such detail. I'm glad I asked first as I would not have used such detail in the change out. Thanks again for your help. When the job is done I will let you know how it went. I have to pick up the fuel line tool first.
