Here is a curious problem for you electrical/computer wizards. I noticed this the other nite. I had to pull over to the side of the road so I turned my hazard flashers on. At exactly the same time I get a SERVICE TRACTION CONTROL/SERVICE ACTIVE HANDLING warning on the DIC. I checked and had a C1295 code. I cleared the code and everything went back to normal. I got to thinking about this afterward and have tried to duplicate it. It seems that everytime I activate the hazard flashers I get the above warnings with the C1295 code:Brake lamp switch open. Have I got a faulty break lamp switch? Anyone have any comments in regard to cause?
If you know your brake lamps and switch are operating properly than
more than likey you have a bad ground or corroded terminal ,
You need to read the electrical sticky about the EBCM ground connecter.
The easiest solution is to check all bulbs, terminals, and clean grounds.
There could be problems with the EBCM, and brake switch but stick to
the essentials of checking all the grounds in the electrical sticky
