This is not the first time I had problems with their customer service!
This time it was as follows:
I saw they have the dual gauge pillar in their programm.
I mailed them if they have them in stock and some days later I got a mail.
"Yes, we have 4 in stock"
So I ordered.
Days later I got a mail from RK:
Pillar is on backorder..............3 weeks to wait.
Asked them what happened but never got an answer.
Now after more than a month of waiting I mailed them agian and asked what happened with my order.
They mailed back that they need "more datas" so they can look up my order.
I mailed them adress,.... again.
2 days later I got the answer:
Your order is canceled, because your VISA address is not matching your shipping adress.
They did not inform me !!!!!!!!! They just canceled the order!!!! :cuss
Would have been a short mail to inform me, that something is wrong!!
Only thing is:
The VISA is OK and I have ordered Corvette parts from CCW, FLP, exit motorsports, ............. for more than $ 10.000 in the last year with no problems.
RK sport will never get an order from me again!!!!!!!! :U
Michael
BTW, one funny thing, the Visa and the shipping adress is the same that they sent me an order 1 1/2 years ago
I was also screwed hard-core by the scumbags there--- longer story than I care to delve back into here, lest I get pi$$ed off again :mad
Needless to say, I'll NEVER order from them, and have taken great pleasure in costing them a fair amount of business by telling friends interested in their products about what they did to me...:reddevil
I've always dreaded logging in here one day and seeing that they have become supporting vendors---- they're NOT to the level the Corvetteforum members deserve and expect from our companies.... I pray they never do..
Their customer service does suck, but they do have some hi-quality unique products that makes it worth wading thru the bullshi7. They do have some very nice pieces...
I had to qait quite awhile for my Carbon Fiber interior as it was custom made. I think they charged my card first too. But they aren't a small shop and your CC protects you.
I agree that they do offer things that are tough to find elsewhere--- but their service and attitude is so bad that I'll never recommend any of it---- I don't care if they sold solid gold vette parts for $5.00--- I'd still tell them to go to hell... :)
Almost everyone I have been in contact with has had a bad story about RK Sport. The customer service they offer really sucks. My buddy's wife was the latest story. She called and ordered C5 headers for her husbands car. After she had completed the order the sales rep called back 2 hours later and stated that O2 simulators where a REQUIRED purchase with the headers. So she took the mans word and ordered them to. So the husband gets the headers and O2 sensors and takes them to the exhaust place to install. At this point he did'nt know the O2 simulators where a added purchase. Headers got installed and the mechanic said there was no reason for the O2 simulators because they where still in the original position and the cats had'nt been eliminated. He took them home and told his wife they where not needed. She in turn called RK and asked them what the deal was making her purchase them. They tryed covering it up many ways and in the end she got stuck with them because it was 3 days past the 30 day policy. So not only was she sold something she did'nt need but also at a premium.....guess what 2 O2 simulators cost her? $200.00 . If you doubt me check out their website. He likes the headers but this whole experiece reaffirmed my orignal stance of RK SPORT SUCKS!
Maybe there should be a place on the forum that these type of vendors could be listed to prevent anyone else from getting screwed. Sure there is always 1 or 2 dissatisfied customers but this company seems to have a very bad reputation. If there was an established list, vendors would possibly try harder to make sure they don't get on it and we would get better service. Everyone wins.

That is an excellent idea!
I would expand on it in the following way: A listing of each place with the number of satisfied vs unsatisfied customers so that you can get a perspective of their performance. Also, I would include Tuners, GM Dealers and all things Corvette.
I agree - THIS IS AN EXCELLENT IDEA!!!!
I'm supportive and could put names on lists both good and bad.
Thanks 02!!!
Should we make a request to RAT or BigToe or someone else?
Also ordered the dual gauge pillar (made by autometer) from RK. Didn't hear anything from them for quite some time. Sent them an email. No response. Figured it was a non-order since I didn't hear back and they had not charged my credit card. Low and behold, about 4 weeks later the pillar shows up at my doorstep. One problem, the material does not appear to match the interior of the C5. Figured it was worth a try since it was a pretty cheap piece.
I must be one of the lucky ones. I had Great service from RK Sport. I ordered their hood and got it promptly, had problem with it, called and talked to them, sent pics. They replace the hood and refunded the $500 I had spent to get it painted.
During this whole time I never once dump my guts out to people on the internet (they (RK Sport) reads this stuff also). I used a civil approach and talked directly to RK customer service.
Remember their is alway 3 sides to every story "YOURS", "THIERS" and the "TRUTH".
George,
Your car is beautiful (I'm a little biased, I have a 2001 tripleblack mn6)
Those custom covers over the fog lights look great!
Tell me about you garage floor...what is that, where'd you get it and how easy is it to install? It looks real good!
