behind the intake, you have to remove the intake to get to it.

does it sit at 35 at idle? it will go up as your driving? when it reads high, it is gone.
mine is at like 40 psi at idle and it will go up if im at full throttle.

Sounds low for a bad sensor, but here is how to check it:

Turn the ignition to on, with the engine off, if the gauge reads anything, the oil pressure sensor is bad. There should be no oil pressure with the engine not running.

Do a search, There is a way to replace the oil pressure sensor without taking the whole intake off....What you need to do to replace it is. Remove the windshield wipers and than remove the cover under the windshield wipers and than drill a hole with a holesaw and stick a deepwell socket with an extension to get to it....The cover will cover the hole up when you reinstall it....So you will never see the hole.....This IMHO is the best thing to do so you do not have to remove the intake.....And by the way make sure the new sending unit you buy is a product made by Standerd it seems to last the longest...I was told that the acdelco does not last.....Hope this helps.
