Default Fuel Injector Size???

Hello

I have an LS7 block based engine that according to the engine builder should give me around 500 rwhp in my C5.

The enginebuilder also supplied me with fuel injectors:

Ford SVO #30... ?

Can this really be correct? Seems a bit small to me?

Anyone knows how much these are good for at 58 psi fuel pressure and 80% and 85% duty cycle?

Will this combo work???

What areas are you guys on the duty cycle on your injectors?

SVO 30's flow 36 at 58 psi. You should be fine but it probably wont give you a whole lot of room to grow. I am going to run them on my heads/cam/nitrous motor probably pushing over 550 RWHP. Not sure what my duty cycle will be with my LPE fuel pump but I will know in a few weeks once I get it on the dyno

Hello Chris

Thanx for your input, sounds like you have a really nice combo going there on your car!!

Will be interesting to see what you do on the dyno, please keep informed! What gears are you running in your differential?

My car wont be on the dyno until April/May since it is winter over here in Sweden now...

Good luck!

Best Regards

Tommy

For 500rwhp, something in the 38-42# range would be a better choice.

I'm running 38s on my heads/cam 346, unsure of hp numbers, probably 450-460 ballpark...and am seeing 70-72% IDC.

The SVO 30s will be small.
SVO 42s will be fine.
The best, and I am a SVO die hard, are the new GM 40# in injectors for the LS7 they are a pain to adapt but perform better in several ways.
