Just returned from the body shop, slight rear quarter panel repair. Check Engine light is continuosly on. Have checked all the obvious, gas cap and cleaned filler area. Also cleaned out "body shop dust" from engine area with compressed air.
After completing the procedure of key on, press reset, press & hold options & then fuel 4 times what I end up with on the display is:
"10 PCM 1 codes", where do I go from here? If I need to go to another step to identify a code, how do I do it?????
Once you pull up the diagnostics on your DIC, you let them scroll by them selves and they will go through the whole cycle. PCM, RADIO, HVAC, etc...write down what codes you find after each segment, and whether or not they have an H or a C behind the numbers. Post what codes you have, then you can get a better answer. Here's a link to help you get and diagnose the codes. http://www.corvettedoctor.com/2004_DTC_Codes.html
Thanks Sneaklman.....I will do this again. Should I only be concerned with a code that ends with C ? I don't remember any like this. Will do over and see what happens.
Ran the cycle again and all codes that appeared were with an H, no C's anywhere.
After the DIC displays "no more codes" it then goes to "manual diagnostics" then the 10-PCM 1 codes appears on the display?????
I cannot get anything else to appear and the engine light stays on !!
Once you get to manual diagnostics, push the options button, or one of the other buttons(do not push the E/M button that cancels diagnostics). You should be able to cycle through the diagnostics. Once you move from one section to the next and it shows the codes for that section push and hold the reset button until it says no codes. Then move on to the next section, until all codes are clear. You should be able to clear them all this way.
Check your PM's.
