Default Z06 rear ducts

Does anybody have the template to install these? I printed out the one that’s going around on the forum and did a mach cut-out and it didn’t fit right, anybody have luck with that one?

Are these the ones that you have:

I would like to do this mod too but I noticed a lot of guys are just doing the 'stick-ons'. I don't think I could bring myself to attach a decorative brake vent that doesn't function.

I know if you purchase them from Ecklers you get the templates for the cutting.

Sticking on the Z06 brake scoop is like putting a scoop on the hood that is not functional. When I do it (it's on my list) they will be the real deal.
I have the same template. I put them together, but I did not lay it up on the car for comparison.

I used the online template and it didn't line up perfectly, I have to take mine back off and drill out larger holes so it will fit flush.

Yep, same ones. the holes for the bolts don't line up and the hole you cut out is not right. I used a curved cardboard box to test them first. I'm glad I didn't cut the hole in my car first. Someone has to have the right ones, or has them off their car and can give use a good template.

I dont know... its probably a bad idea, but i've been trying to figure out how i could put side exhaust on my car, and that seems the only logical place to put it. IF they weren't there I could do it fairly easily i'd imagine.

Not that i'm going to go out and just rip out the brake ducts to try my idea... lol

Default Rear Template

I have a 02 convt that I installed the rear cooling vents in. If you look really close on the back side of the inner fenders you will see the lines for the cut out. You really need to look close they are very fine and they show up better under certain lighting. Cut them out with tin snips and they will fit perfect.

I believe West Coast Corvettes can square you away. I purchased my Z06 rear brake ducts from Gene Culley, and the guys at WCC hooked me up with the right templates since they don't come with the parts. That was a few years ago - not sure where those templates are now.
