Default How to adjust fog lights?

Getting sick and tired of the poor factory light output. I want to try to adjust factory fog lights first to see if there is any improvement before exploring alternative light options. Anyone have any experiences with the APC Zenon Plasma bulbs?

The factory lights aren't that bad, they're just aimed so low all they do is light up your front bumper. Use a torx (a T15, I think...), and park the car in front of your garage door at dusk so you can see the pattern. Adjust them just high enough that the cutoff is the same for both. Do a test drive, and make sure they only illuminate around 100' in front of you. If you aim them higher, you'll blind oncoming drivers, especially when you're cresting a hill.

They're behind the panel - you'll see a access hole next to each light. Just stick the torx in there.

The adjustment Torx is a little hard to find. I believe it takes a 15 or 20 driver. The driver fits in the round hole on the outside of the fog lamp and the handle passes infront of the lamp. I cranked on mine for 6 turn until they came up. It made a big difference.

Thanks for all the help, finally got my fog lights adjusted. I found it easier to do with an Allen wrench (fits in the access hole better). I noticed that when I had them initially aimed too high at first, the lights started to melt and smoke the plastic shrouds! A lot of people said to aim them just below the low beams on a wall but the distance to your wall is RELATIVE! With some trial and error, I got them about right. They Do make a difference but I think I still want more - probably will look into PIAA's instead of a headlight change.
