I just installed a mechanical fuel pressure gauge and I've heard that it is required to run a diaphram to separate the fuel from inside the cab, I also heard that in order to do this you must fill the line from gauge to diaphram w/ coolant and it is quite a bitch to do so. I skipped this part and just ran it from the rail. Is this very dangerous or is it just safety precaution that requires you not to run it this way?
This post is really a joke right? With the mods you have in your sig I can't believe this is for real. But here goes. You've got to be crazy to run a mech. fule pressure gauge into the cab of yoyr vette. That's why they are so cheap and the electric ones are expensive. The electric sending unit goes on the end of the fuel rail and just wires go through to the cab, no gas. If you run fuel to the inside of your car, a slight leak, just fumes and a spark from a bad ground, a switch shorting out, the lighter, someone smoking or an accident and you and your car are history. Good by to all those nice mods you have.

but I will add my comment to the joke, I believe it is a required NHRA rule that if you drag race no fuel can enter into the car. For old school
set ups you would use a diaphram and coolant in your line to the gauge in the cockpit .

Like stated it is very dangerous and yes for your own safety, and
for any one who rides with you. If something where to burst I'd
rather get hosed with coolant instead of gas.
