so 2 3" flanges for the headers, 2 more for the connecting pipes and then just clamp the x pipe?
that will work

Okay yall, i'm pulling the trigger on these tomorrow along with PC high floc metallic core cats. The plan is somthing like this: I will install the headers myself, then use my AAA membership to have the car towed to a highly reccomended exhaust shop (Texas quality exhaust) and have the rest of the system assembled and welded including the 3"-2/5" reducers for the WCC x pipe.

Besides the headers and cats, what will i need (not including the connection bands and reducers?

Oh, and what are the O2 extensions for?

well, which is it? lol

what year/model do you have that you did not need 02 extensions, nova?

i know i did not need extensions when i did jet hots on my trans am a long time ago, but i dont know about the Z06.

now i just have to rent 4 jackstands and find the time to put the things on! i am debating waiting until i get HP tuners, or just put them on and run it open headers for tomorrow night only and then get the exhaust fixed up next weekend(i only drive the car on saturday nights pretty much)

Haha, that is priceless. Let us know if AAA lets you get away with it .

Ok, I've got some parts questions. I'm going to do the install with a friend who can weld. The plan is to install everything, tack weld it together, drop it and finish the welding. This will hopefully avoid leaks and the dozen or so clamps. If we're going to weld what parts are needed for the install? I know we need some 3" pipe and some flanges to hook the system up to the headers (as well as some 3-2.5" reducers), is there anything else? If I order the ceramic cats will the O2 sensors reach or do I need extensions? I've got a C6 tunnel plate/thermal "stuff" on order and I'm itching to get the rest of it on the way .

Just to clarify this is how the final system looks in my mind:

headers (with these welded to them: FLO-15925) > 3" pipe cut to fit > ceramic cats with O2 sensors > x-pipe > B&B bullet catback.
