Repair for c5 climate control

I have a 1999 c5 and wondered if anyone had he fix for the climate control head. the display is dim.

Do a search. There is a simple soldering fix.

I just finished repairing my unit. Follow the instructions in the thread as I did and it should be a successful and inexpensive repair. I bought a $5 iron and re-soldiered the resistors, several were only connected on one side and moved when I touched them with the iron. Also, I have a different unit than the one listed in the thread, but still made the repairs to the 8 resistors as described. Works like it should now!
