Depends what you mean by sliding seat. There are threads for broken,
rocking seats. Your thread may fall under the rocking seat problem.

I think he means his seat slides or that his seat slides back and forth when he starts and stops. Not rocking but sliding. Moving forward and backward, but not tilting. Right?

That is an excellent write up.

Is the fix for the "rocking" seat problem the same as the fix for the "sliding" seat problem the O/P refers to?

I use a six point harness

doesn't rock or slide at all...anymore
