Default What should I set Fan Temps at?

Just put the old Predator on to recheck settings after a couple of years. I have a Y2K with minor bolt ons and a 180F thermo. Fan #1 was set at 210 on and 200 off, fan #2 was set at 220 on and 210 off. Suggestions? Thanks.

I have the stock thermostat. I have the first one come on at 196, and the second at 205. My car usually stays at 190-195 cruising around in the summer months. Hope this helps. Don

But, come to a light or a little traffic, even this time of year, and the temps very quickly come up to 225 and above. It does go back down when you get moving again. If you are hung up in traffic the fan comes on at 226 or so for about half a minute or so until the temp gets down to 219 then goes off for another half a minute or so until the temp is back above 225. I don't care to see how they would react in the summer temps out here at 105 and above. I drove in our local Veterans day parade and the temp was 235 and above the entire time. I'm old school and believe the motor should not be run hot. I'll find some one with a hand held tuning device to set my temps after I get the Dewitt installed.

I am old school also but Have to remind myself the LS1 is designed to run much hotter that the older engines. 235 in a slow parade is hot but you should be fine.
