Default Dashboard brake Light went out

My dashboard brake light went out. When I make hard launches with the car or get on the gas and shift hard, the brake light was lighting up because the E-brake would come up. Now the light is out all together. Not sure which I like better, the light completely out, or the light coming on every time I shift hard.

Now I have no light indicating the e-brake is engaged, when I pull it up.

Has this happened to any one else, and does anyone know how to get the light to start working again? I don't think it's a fuse...but I haven't checked.

Thanks!

I would be more worried about why the e-brake would come on just from hard acceleration than the light coming on.
Have you checked the fluid level in the master cylinder? Are you sure the light was not coming on because you are low on brake fluid?

you probably just need to top-off your brake fluid resevor. I had the same problem on my car, and the car was low on brake fluid; that fixed my problem.

Thanks folks. I will check the fluid in the morning, but I think there is more to it than that.If the light doesnt come on when I pull the handle up, maybe it could be the e-brake sensor? If it's not the fluid, does anyone know how to get to the sensor without making a mess?

Here's a pic when I was doing the frost king mod, the white connector in front of the EBrake handle is the light switch. You should be able to access it by just pulling the passenger seat out.

Thanks! Now I know where it is. May be able to get my hand down the velcro opening without having to remove the seat. I'll check it out in the morning. Thanks again!

I was able to get to the connector thru the velcro and low and behold, it was loose. Now it works correctly again. The light still comes on when I accelorate hard in the car. The light comes on without the brake clicking up once. Maybe the ebrake line is loose and needs to be tightened.

I'll have that looked at this Spring when the new Texralia clutch and 4.10's go in the car.

Thanks for the help folks!

Fluid is full, BUT...the light keeps coming on, when I accelerate hard. Not sure what is causing it. First I thought it was the plug. Made sure the plug was tight, but the light keeps coming on under hard acceleration. Unplugged the wire on the e-brake handle all together, and the damned light is still coming on. Anyone know which fuse goes to the dashboard e-brake light? I need to get rid of the distraction.

Thanks!

PS...GO GIANTS!!!!!!!!!!!
