Freezing temps are coming here...2 weeks ago when temperature went below freezing I had some troubles like lazy crank, DIC reseting after start up or even radio shut off while turning the lights on...I then identified that as a battery problem and decided to change it.
I changed the battery and had no problem for the following week (I have to say that the weather was rather mild that week) and this morning the temp went again below freezing...and the same problems occurred again(exept for the radio shut off stuff)...WTF the battery is brand new.
I wonder if the initial problem was due to the battery or the new battery is allready dead...Any feedback related to that issue?
The battery voltage after 24 hrs reads 11,5 V and it is charging at 14,5, which I guess is good.
But I've noticed, when I unplugged the batt, that red plug was quite corroded. I had to screw it hard to make contact when I replug it.
Could that be the problem?
That terminal HAS to be clean. Chief reason for corrosion is a leak (even miniscule) around the positive terminal. Did you clean the positive terminal when you installed the NEW battery?

Dude, you have to take care of the corrosion on the cables, you can't leave it like that. Has the battery leaked? I would also shine a flashlight down into the battery tray. If it has leaked down into the tray, it may have leaked down to the PCM. If so, you'll be having worse problems in the future.
I do agree of what you said guys, but I didn't install the battery myself.
Be sure that I soon I've seen that I cleaned it with a metal brush and check for some other trace in the tray...I found nothing else? hopefully.
I drove the car for an hour this afternoon and continously check the battery voltage on the DIC. It varied between 13,7 V and 14,2 V, which is somehow normal.
