Default Brakes

I have a C-5, 2002, mainly stock with stock wheels. I had a pulsation in my brake pedal which indicated the front rotors were warped. I purchased the Napa slotted/drilled rotors and ceramic pads. With less than 100 miles on the new rotors, the pulsation is coming back. The parts store said they will check the runout on my old rotors and the new ones, then give me a new front set. But, I am not sure why the problem is back. Is it a proportioning valve problem, or something to do with the handling system? Your help is appreciated.

What was the result of the runout check? Really can't take the next step until you know they are warped......right?

it is probably uneven brake material on you rotors. you have to bed them in just right or you get uneven deposits on the rotors and the feel like they are warped. try hitting your brakes real hard jujst above kicking in the ABS system from 60 to10 about 5 times in a row. then let it sit for 30 minutes and go drive it again and see if it is better. learned this at Stoptech site. those guys are smart!

your brake pads may be too soft too, might want to try harder pads...do not use hawk HPS hawk plus are greeat

the gm stock pads are very good too

anytime my brakes do this i hit them hard from 140 mph to 45 mph then they work fine

The runout on the old rotors was measured at .005 and .006. The runout on the new rotors was .001 on each. The rotors are not discolored from heat.
