[QUOTE=BlackZ06;1563300661]Bottom line ... someone with a Tech2 will need to program the new BCM. It needs to have the correct VIN entered, the PROM_ID of the SDM needs to be entered, the RPO table has to be set correctly ... you can't just plug in a new BCM and drive away.
Dealers have Tech2s, some service shops have them, and a few individuals have them. Since a Tech2 costs about $5,000 they aren't easy to find outside the dealerships.
The dealer will have access to the GM TIS system to download the correct programming and RPO data for your vehicle.
The correct BCM for a 2000 Corvette is GM Part # 10304930
Other years use different part numbers ... get the correct one and avoid problems.[The question is do you have yours out of the garage???????? Giving advise is great, but get your butt back on the road ]
I agree with what he has to say since he really knows what he is talking about. My question is, does he still have is Vette out of service for a battery issue?????
