Yeah, your tuners' promises are quite acheivable. Hell, the dyno can be manipulated to say anything he wants it to. Worst case scenario, though, you're gonna have a very fast car, so don't sweat the #s. The trick will be getting the MS4 to run decently in traffic. Can be done, but alot depends on your definition of streetability, and the expertise of your tuner.

I've heard that the LS6 intake has no problems on cars w/ upwards of 800+ hp? maybe i'm missing something but i wouldn't TOUCH a fast 90 unless i got it CHEAP. i'd rather spend my money on something more worth it.
where is this 800 hp with an LS6 intake?

i'm not saying i've seen it personally. And in my statement you can see i said I've HEARD of it. Maybe it's only rumor but wtf do i know, i'm only 23.... As for driveability as long as he can get it to where it's manageable for ME to drive then i'm not worried i just want it to run correctly and make the power it "should". I'm really not that worried about numbers per say i just am going by what other guys with high horsepower Vette's(one pushing 900+WHP) have told me i should be close to expecting. i'd be downright Exstatic with 450 RWHP and think that 130+ over a stock C5 is one HELL of an upgrade Anybody know why a '98 PCM is such a bad thing? if it is i have the PCM outta a '03 i can get ahold of but just need to know what it is i have to do to make it work in my '98. ~Cole~

Double check w/ Randy or Doug about your intended use of the Rollmaster Double timing chain - from what I recall from about a year ago this time, DRM did NOT recommend using the Rollmaster Double timing chain and in fact they had seen many PROBLEMS from the Rollmaster chain

I also recall that there might have been issues getting the front cover to fit (possible grinding required) over the Rollmaster Double timing chain.

Do a search and you should find some discussion on this issue. But check w/ Randy or Doug at DRM

Picking up gaskets and bolts from the dealer on Wednesday Doug Rippie Motorsports is doing my tune and expects at least 470 RWHP and said i will probably be closer to 490-500. Parts i have to get yet is a DTE rear brace just for good measure. I'll show you guys some after pics but i was curious if there are any other things you'd get while i'm at it? i'm still thinking i will be getting some ARP rod bolts just to hold better then stock. Anybody else think that is advisable?~Cole~
Get rid of that dual cone intake and get a vararam or a haltech and just thank me afterwards

Dunno about 800hp, but he's been an 8.92 at 152 or 153mph with an LS6 intake.

I've talked with alot of guys with the MS4 cam and they said as long as the tuner has dealt with them they are very streetable when tuned right. The shop i'm getting it done at has dealt with this cam before and says he's dyno'd 447 RWHP on a MS4 cam car with only an LS6 intake and Headers and intake, i'd expect with my better heads, ASP underdrive and a less restrictive exhaust then the F-body that had it in it, that i could hit more then 460. We will see i guess. I've heard on NUMEROUS occasions of cars getting between 65-80 RWHP on CAM ONLY(the MS4) on a regular basis. And that is BONE stock down to the paper airfilter and the only mod is the MS4 cam w/ double springs and pushrods. I'm not trying to start anything or an arguement about it i'm just going by what i have read, and heard MANY times over. I'm just excited because this is the first car i've ever had the time and money to do a nice Heads/cam setup ~Cole~
I have a 01 Z, Ms4 cam ...LG Pro's (no cats) Fast 90, ls2 tb, halltech stinger, Asp pulley, and borla stingers...i only saw 450 and barely that noway will you net 470....but good luck trying 450 is still a blast to drive...your gonna need a clutch though

all you would have to do is get one of those fancy intake covers and the tech wouldny even know you had a differant one!
