Default Gas Smell

I started getting an odor of gas in the cockpit while driving and also coming from the rear of my car when I shut the car off. Does anyone know what can be causing this and what's the fix?
Thanks
Rando

Start looking around, let your nose be your guide. Look for drops on the ground. Sniff around the engine bay. Could be anything associated with the fuel system i.e. Fuel tank, sending unit, hoses, fuel filter, fuel rail, injectors, etc.

Can't determine the fix, until you find the problem.

Mine always smells right after a fill up. Even if I don't top it all the way up. Never been able to figure out why.

My bet is on a fuel filter, under driver's side, rear (ahead of gas tank), near frame rail. Mine leaked. It is over the exhaust pipe, so I would look sooner than later (unless you have REAL GOOD insurance).

Happened to my '97... fuel filter seal, gasoline pouring on left exhaust-pipe.
