That's what I did, use the seat bolt. OR- if you pull off the lower B piller covers, you can connect to the factory ground point. There's one on the driver side for sure, don't remember if there's one on the pass. side.

I used the outside rear passenger seat bolt without any problems. I didn't want it to share any grounds.

My amps are directly behind the bulkhead and I run my ground to the inside drivre's seat mounting bolt.

Passenger seat mounting bolt FTW: Make sure the paint is ground off.

Is only the outter passenger seat mounting bolt a good ground point? Or can both the driver and passenger?

I have sound insulation down on the floor between it and the seat mount point, so will that have any bearing on whether it is still a good ground point? In other words, does the seat mount have to touch the floor bare?

If you want the best ground in my opinion, take off the side b pillar cover and use the factory ground right there. I removed the pillar on the pass. side and bam there was a whole sheet of metal to ground to. HAHA There is actally some sort of relay grounded to it so I simply removed it and added my amp ground.

To answer the question wheather the ground will go through matting. NO you need direct contact with metal

Remember electricity travels on the surface of a metal so ideally, i'd remove a small section of insulation....however i'm not sure how good of a ground the bare floor actually is.

Any of the seat bolts would make a good ground.

Do it this way so you don't end up with a ground loop and have buzz or hmm in the amp.
