Have a 1999 z51 coupe with plenty of mods I've owned for about 6 months. In my opinion the steering is the weak point of the car. It feels over assisted and knumb, especially on the track. Is there any steering upgrades out there. Specifically I would like less power assist heavier steering. Thanks for any suggestions.
The only C5 steering upgrade I can think of - besides the alignment advice that WKMCD provided - is to install a Z06 power steering cooler if you plan to participate in HPDE road course events, etc.
Unaware of any steering upgrades, with the exception of the aforementioned alignment. My 2002 "Z51" has a power steering cooler as a part of the package. Your car probably does, too.
I continue to miss the wonderful steering on the earlier C4s: Direct, lots of feedback and probably bit the dust because of complaints from certified public accountants with weak backs and socialite wives who thought the steering effort was too high.
Ahhhhh the terrors of mass producing a Grand Tourer.
I have a fairly aggressive setup -1.5 camber 0 toe on the front. I guess theres not much to do but live with it. Anyone know what steering setup the T1 class guys run in SCCA? Thanks for the input guys.

Great observation. The steering was one of the only things better about the C4 IMO.
