I have done the search thing and really just dont understand most of what I read. P0143 is what I get. Car had a cam installed, cats removed, dyno tune about three years ago. The P0143 code started popping up about a year after that. What gives? I'm getting tired of turning the check engine light off. What will fix this? Is it because of an exhaust leak somewhere? In english please... this stuff is way over my head! Thanks for the help!
I'm pretty sure he "removed" the codes. I drove for a year or more after the install of the cam and tune with no codes. I drove almost two years with TPIS headers with no codes. So, just an exhaust leak maybe? Hopefully?
I'm going to ask that you check the codes again. I need to see the whole code.
ie P0111 H C or anything else. The issue is our vettes should NOT throw a P0143 code. We only have 2 banks, of 2 Sensors. Not 3. The P0143 refers to a third o2 sensor which we do not have.
Thanks for helping out... my car is in a lot for sale so I cant get to it now but I'll double check the code tomorrow morn and get back on here. Thanks again.
Turns out I'm a dislexic moron... the code reads 10-P0134 H C
Any help? Its goin to the shop this week for new cats and exhaust leak fixes... my fingers are crossed that I'll never see this code again after that. Thanks again for the help, let me know what you think.
The car runs great... that code has been popping up every time i drive for about two years now. I just turn it off and forget about it. But now that I'm selling the car I want to get it resolved. Hopefully some cats and no exhaust leaks will take care of it... your thoughts? Unfortunately Circuit Insufficient Activity Bank 1 Sensor 1 is greek to me and I dont really know what it means.
So the bank 1 pre-cat (between motor and cat?) O2 sensor needs to be replaced? How much is that gonna cost me? Where is this sensor located? You guys are great, thanks and pardon my ignorance.

Depends on where you get the sensor from, as to price honestly. I've seen between $45 - $155 (I think the high cost is dealer one though)...
And you already did your own locating. It's on the exhaust - driver (#1 Cyl side) Between the Header and the catalytic convertor. I believe it is easier the access from undeneath the car.
On my way to autozone... 66 bucks. Tomorrow when I'm having the cats installed I'll have the guys throw the new sensor in. Thanks so much for the help guys... wish me luck!

Just a bit of a warning, I've had trouble with Bosch sensors, I always use OEM, they are about the same price and the first time you put in a Bosch sensor and then have to remove it pretty well sucks.
For two years I've been turning off this stupid code every time I get in my car. All it took was a 60 dollar part from autozone. Now the car is sold I'm sure going to miss it, and this forum. You guys are great! Thanks again!
