just go back and double check everything. If the problem persists, try unplugging the battery for about 10 mins. Let the car reset everything and then plug it back in. My 2002 did some screwy things with the interior lights when I was changing out the bulbs in my HVAC unit. I lost battery too. I just jumped it and then later that day, disconnected the battery to allow the car to relearn. That seemed to do it. Have not had any problems since.

How can anyone help you when we don't even know what you did in the first place. Retrace your steps....you are bound to find the problem..
well a classic it is, the dimmer switch somehow was set to ON after putting swtch back in place.
Thanks, as it seems that one can be too close to problem to see the light

Yep. Too close to the problem will get you every time. Glad it was simple! And I wish I had a dollar for every time I've missed "simple." That would pay for a nice Super Bowl party...
But I know you are relieved and that it wasn't funny before you solved the puzzle.
Yes, it is very frustrating sometimes when overlooking simple things, but at least you weren't too embarrased to admit it. We can still all learn from each other's mistakes.
