No more boost :(
My wife got accepted into med-school in the Caribbean and I fly out of the country on Jan. 12th.
Car will be in storage in South Carolina for ~3 years, driven once monthly by my father.
Aside from Stabil in the gas tank, any other things I should do? Will the transmission/rear lube/seals be fine if it is driven once a month? I'd hate to ruin my expensive parts.

I would make sure I left with a COMPLETE service (oils, filters, coolant, brakes, etc) and good inspection. 3 years is a long time. Good luck and don't be a stranger.

done done and done, and my father will also be taking care of oil changes for the blower and engine every few months. etc. He is also a corvette owner so the car is in good hands. Clayed and waxed last night and today, so everything is in tip top shape.
Congratulations on yours and your wife's new journey!
You want to make sure that your Dad drives it long enough to get the oil temperature up and not just around the block. This'll help burn the condensation out of the oil. I'd probably get a battery tender or a CCA charger. I bought one and they work Great! It charges the battery and then when it's fully charged, it goes to a trickle to keep it that way. Just a precaution to spare your battery.
Why not just prep the car for long term storage? Driving it once a month may not be that good... just thinking of the condensation and such that could build up from a short drive and then sitting for another month.

my tenant just graduated from that med school (don't ask me the name now) When she showed me all of those pictures of her condo ON the beach.....I was jealous to say the least.
I agree on the long term storage. I say drive it a lot or don't drive it at all. Once a month could cause more harm than good. Why not leave the keys with your Dad and let him drive it once a week. I know my Dad would not mind driving mine once a week.

The storage unit is 5 minutes from his house so no problem. I'll tell him to drive it once a week or at least every 10 days and get the oil temps up to normal.
Sounds to me like you just wanted to rub it in everyones faces that your going to live in the islands for 3 years . I think I'd give up the vettte for a while for that too.

Depreciation, storage costs, insurance, the worry about a hurricane during the next 3 years. That would be way too much for me. And as Jeff said, your stuff will be three years dated by then. I'd invest the money and buy something better when (or if?) you come back.
Have fun in St. Maarten! It's a beautiful island, but youre right... no place for a Corvette. Don't worry about the car, it will be there when you get back!
