I am curious I have a K&N Dual cone intake now, if I take that off and use a Vararam intake am I going to have any real pick up?..and Isnt the Vararam suseptible to water be sucked into it?

The vararam will perform better than a K&N at speed due to its design. Don't worry about water injestion. You'll have to drive in a puddle deeper than your foglight grilles to intake water. If you are doing that, you could hydrolock on a stock intake too.

I had injen CAI on my older Mazda that was lowered 1.5" and never had any issues with it sucking up water As long as you don't directly drive into puddle for thrills you will be just fine.
