I sprayed mine with high temp ceramic brake caliper paint. Taped it off after porting, media blasted and painted. Looks great over a year now.

Mine is Thermo Coated to reduce heat from entering the TB it was done when I had it PP'd.
It is black in color and I would think painting it black would be fine just like anything else prep work is what will determine the best results!
