If the problem that set the DTC code that turned on your CEL is still current, the light will come back on the next time the DTC runs and fails again (likely the next time you start the engine).
Write down whatever codes you have. H is history, C is current. Then post the codes and people can help you figure out WHY your CEL is on and fix the problem.
