Wouldn't it be easier to let your comprehensive insurance cover a professional repair? Most glass installers will come to your house and install new glass right in your garage nowadays. Its especially cheap if you have full glass coverage comprehensive as you have already paid for the repair.

i just did mine and it is very easy. there are only two bolts to loosen the two clamps holding the window in. do a search in C5 general and tech for window and you will find some great how to instructions!

The brackets do not move forward and backward, but are slotted to allow vertical adjustment.
You need to have the window regulator in the up position.
Set the glass in the brackets and close the door with a person inside, and one outside to help center the glass in the opening. Then you can tighten the bolts from the inside. There are access holes for the bolts once you get the door panel off.

You need to adjust the glass forward in the opening to fit into the weatherstripping and follow the contour at the front edge of the glass. Then raise the glass so it seats correctly along the top edge.
The brackets have rubber linings, but don't overtighten or you could still break the glass.

I have replaced window regulators on both sides of my car, but I was able to take masking tape and mark the location of the glass before I removed it, so it was easy to put back into the exact same position. If you want to see how the glass should seat into the weatherstripping, you can look at the other side and try to make them match.

There are jack screws along the sides of the brackets to fine tune the position of the glass in the up position, but the bracket bolts should be used for the main adjustment of the glass in the opening. If your other glass was seating correctly, then you should not have to adjust the jack screws.
