Default O2 Sensor Question...

I currently have bad front o2 sensors, I do not have cats and have no rear o2 sensors so I have my old good rear ones laying around, question is can I put the rear ones in the front if I splice in the correct harness like this one?? Will it work fine? Beats having to spend $170 on new ones http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Heate...sid=p1638.m118

Nope, they are different sensors .....

Pre-cat sensors GM part 25312184 ($46.14 each at gmpartsdirect)

Post-cat sensors GM part 25317697 ($104.71 each at gmpartsdirect)

You need, fortunately, the pre-cat sensors.

I know that LG sell adapters to run rear O2's up front. So, there should be no reason that you couldn't make your own adapters. I believe it was said that running rear O2's up front gave a more accurate reading, better heater or something along those lines.

Just installed my LG long tubes and per instructions moved rear O2s up to front position using their provided adapter. No issues at all. If your front O2 bungs are in original location you'll have a lot of extra wire to deal with but they'll work fine.

Rockauto has a lot of connectors you may want to look there and places like LG will have adapters made up so you don't have to splice anything if you want.

The only issue I had is one of length, its not always easy to find a place to store all that extra wire...
