Default PCV Breather & OIL COOLER questions....

I see that the PCV valve cover breather is a 2-piece assembly. The piece that has the HELIX thread and then the breather just pops right in....QUESTION: Does anyone know if just the breather can be purchased? From Summit, or wherever....I know there is probably no replacement part number, but....I hope you know what I mean.

Second, I really think my OIL TEMP get's too high and am thinking about a OIL COOLER kit. I am not sure I understand why some of the kits for the vette are $500+.... Has anyone spec'd out something nice, seen GOOD results and not paid that kind of money? IF SO, please, PLEASE reply where you purchased or how you went about it. Maybe I just don't understand well enough.

Thanks,
Allen

What is your oil temp? Unless you track it, I doubt you need an oil cooler. I would say 240ish is normal for agressive driving.

even tho you decided to bite the hand offering you advice

Let me ask you a question. Why do you think you use a valve cover breather cap in the first place and do you think you are cooling your oil if you have one?
