I fixed a bad splice on the red wire coming out of the low-beam relay, cleaned the connection and voila, low beams work once again. (Reference thread: http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show....php?t=1891294) Now the drivers side low beam wont come on, passenger side works as does the high-beams. I checked the fuses, all seem to be ok. Wiring also seems to be in order although it seems weird to have this problem just two weeks after working it out. where should I look?
It could be that the bulb has simply burned out. Buy a replacement and try that ....
I suppose I could switch the drivers/passenger side bulbs to check? Is the high/low beam on the same bulb/socket? thats what it looks like from the front of the car.

Alrighty, swapped the bulbs and the low beams wont come on the passenger side now but the other works fine so its gotta be the bulb. I am thankful its nothing major but the bulb thats burnt appears to be in fine condition it says "PIAA super halogen bulb 90w" is this stock?
PIAA is not the "stock" bulb, but you can probably find a matching bulb at an auto parts shop like Pep Boys, Kragen, whichever. The stock bulbs are type
Low Beam ..... 9006
High Beam ...... 9005
There are many manufacturer's of this bulb type, and some offer them (AC Delco for example) as 9005B or 9006B indicating they burn with a more BLUE than white look to them. So long as the type matches, they'll fit the car.
Oh dear...So I just became aware that the headlights are NOT stock, a previous owner must have put them in... they're euros, they are single socket RIGHT in the middle, I thought this was stock but its not. This same owner also decided on 90w bulbs for them which is too powerful hence I've been having all these issue with melting the hell out of my relay and shorting out. So I put in a new bulb (55 watt) and all is well, might replace the other 90w so I dont have future problems. Thanks for your help BlackZ06!
