Hello... I have a 01 Z06 and I messed 3rd and 4th gear up. I am pretty sure its just the synchro so its not a big deal. Is there anything else I should do to the trans while its apart? I heard it already built from the factory, is that true? Do you guys have any links to a place that sells rebuilts for this trans that arent too much money. This might be a stupid question but, I know the trans in my Z is different from a regular C5 right? How do I know that the parts I get(whenever I order them) are not from a regular C5 trans? All and any help would be great. Also if anyone knows where I can get a stock or built Z trans that would be great too. THANKS

The transmission in the C5 Z's is an MN12 mainly different gear ratios from the mN6 in the reg c5's. The 01's also had aluminum shift forks. I would replace those since some have had them bend. I will be rebuilding mine soon.
RPM a sponsor of the site offers rebuilt trannies, if you want to rebuild it yourself there are a couple of places I know of to get nice upgraded parts, but they are not sponsors. pm for links.
