Default Less brake dust - Hawk or AC Delco?

Just as the thread title states, which pad produces the least amount of dust? Hawk or AC Delco?

I know AC Delco isn't everyone's first choice, but I get them at cost +10 so if HAWK and AC Delco dust levels are similar I'll save the $$ and get the Delco's (especially since they come with the brake caliper bolts that are supposed to be replaced with each pad change.)

Thanks all!!

What compounds are you looking at? The Delco ceramics hardly dust at all, but the Delco Z06 pads dust like crazy. Every Hawk pad I've ever had dusts like no tomorrow and I've used most every compound they sell.

I found the Delco ceramics to be suprisingly good - very little dust, even when road racing and the really grab well

Ceramics are the way to go IMO. I initially had Hawk pads on my car & removed them. They're great pads but entirely too much dust for everyday driving. I could wash my car, drive a 1/2 mile, and the wheels would have a fresh coat of brake dust!

I have had three sets on three different C5's unless you are a hardcore
autocrosser. There is no downside.

When I need new pads I think I will go with ceramic. Those Mags seem to collect break dust like a magnet.

My vote is buy the Hawks and AC delco and then sell me the delco? Sounds good to me.

I run AC/Delco ceramics on the street. Less stopping power than the stock Z pads. I run HAWK +s on the track. You can still activate ABS with the ceramics but it does take more pedal effort. You will get used to it pretty quick. There is virtually no dust with the ceramics.

I reuse the the caliper bolts.

I just completed a brake job and switched to AC ceramic pads. I noticed slightly less grab at first, but really no difference now, with virtually no brake dust!!! (Street only) Jeff
